Ross Township is located in Lake County in Northwest Indiana and includes all of the Town of Merrillville, Northern Crown Point, and Southwestern Hobart.

Easter Egg Hunt
Annually
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt, limited to Township residents, is divided up into groups so that all ages (Infant thru grade 4) can enjoy the simple fun of an Easter egg hunt. An Easter Bonnet contest and face painting followed up by candy and prizes at the Easter Egg Hunt, the whole family is sure to enjoy the afternoon of fun.

4th Of July Celebration
July 3rd and 4th, Annually
The Hidden Lake Park Independence Day Celebration is renowned as the premier fireworks and festival celebration in Northwest Indiana. Annually, the park has over 15,000 visitors on these two days. The magnificent fireworks display over Hidden Lake amazes patrons from all over the area. Admission is only $3 for cars, $5 for vans, and $10 for buses.

Halloween Activities

A free Halloween party (limited to Ross Township residents infant thru grade 4) features a Moon Walk, costume contests, pumpkin carving contests and candy treats. It is sure to turn the most frightful part of the year into a joy for Ross Township Residents. Fall activities include hayrides each evening from mid September through October. Holiday Lights at the Lake
December 3rd thru the 26th 2010 (Fri,Sat,Sun first weekend) (daily starting Dec 10th)

(Cost per car $5.00, small vans $5.00, large vans $10.00, Bus/RV $20.00)
The Holiday Lights at the Lake bring the wonder of the Holidays to patrons all over the Midwest. An amazing arch at the entrance to the park combined with displays scattered throughout the park turn Hidden Lake into a winter wonderland. On Saturdays enjoy fireworks over Hidden Lake at 8pm. Be sure to bring the whole family for a car ride complimented by traditional holiday music.

We have Spring, Summer and Fall adult Softball programs. we offer co-ed, mens and womens leagues in various skill levels for all to enjoy as well as hosting nationally recognized softball tournaments through out the year We also host Merrillville youth programs such as Merrillville Girls Softball League and the Merrillville Youth Soccer program
